The groundbreaking Sports for Development intervention programme of the ANOPA Project with funding from the RYTHM Foundation has won the CSR Excellence award 2023 under the Youth and Disability Inclusion Category organised by the Centre for CSR, West Africa in Ghana.
The programme that has been running since 2019 has helped better the lives of more than 1300 children, youth and parents in education, vocation and sport. The primary target groups for this intervention are the deaf and blind persons within the Central and Western Regions of Ghana.
ANOPA Project is a Sport for Development NGO that uses sport as a tool to promote education, vocation, and the inclusion of differently-abled persons and children within the society.
In 2022 the ANOPA Project won the Charity Organization of the Year Award organised by the Centre for Africa Corporate Business Honors in Ghana. In the same year the ANOPA Project received a citation for Best Physical and Mental Advocate of the Year by the Humanitarian Award Global- Ghana.
The Project will continue to use its intervention modules to help better the lives of the differently-abled children and the youth in Ghana.
